Shift Up’s first AAA action game, Stellar Blade, has become quite popular since its release. Its PC port was also very successful, especially on the Steam platform. Shift Up has also confirmed that this game will be getting a Switch 2 port this year.

The company has also revealed the sequel to the game, Stellar Blade Blood Rain, at Summer Game Fest. Seeing how the game is finally arriving on other platforms, Xbox fans and gamers also want to know whether this game will arrive on that platform or not.

Stellar Blade Xbox port needs some time

An executive spokesperson from Shift Up publishing was recently explaining how it was a big thing to bring this game to Switch 2, after beign exclusive to PS5. This was a very big deal for the self-publishing ambitions.

In regard to this, one of the fans asked whether they will get an Xbox port in the future or not. To which Edo replied:

Nothing is impossible, we just need time.

This confirms that the company has plans to bring Stellar Blade to Xbox Series X/S. However, this might take some time. Shift Up is now self-publishing its game and they are not depending on others.

Their upcoming game, Stellar Blade Blood Rain, is also a self-publishing title.

Xbox port might be challenging

This is not the first time we have seen developers needing extra time to bring their games to Xbox Series X/S. One of the most challenging things for the port will be the optimization.
