One of the biggest surprises at Summer Game Fest 2026 was during the Stranger Than Heaven segment, where the legendary rapper Tupac Shakur appeared in the new trailer.
Alongside this crazy reveal, the developers have also confirmed the release date for the game, which is January 15, 2026. Along with Tupac, Snoop Dogg and his son are also confirmed to be part of the game cast.
Tupac joins the star cast of Stranger Than Heaven
This was truly the biggest surprise of the SGF 2026. Although the developers have not revealed any major details about Tupac Shakur’s role in the game, the fans are already pretty hyped about it.
His inclusion has further strengthened the game’s strong connection to the music culture. Snoop Dogg also appeared on the stage during the presentation.
He is playing a character named Orpheus, who is described as a charismatic and dangerous smuggler. He also expressed his admiration for Sega and Tupac as well.

Makoto Daito, an American-born entertainer with a Japanese mother and an American father, is the main lead.
Throughout the whole game, he is going to team up with close friend Yu Shinjo and cross paths with Orpheus.
Orpheus discovers Makoto’s musical talent and helps him to navigate a challenging journey in Japan’s entertainment world.
The game is set to release on January 15, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
