The Esports World Cup 2025 is heating up and fans are now looking forward to Street Fighter 6, where the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) is underway.
These qualifiers are going to give the final eight spots for the main $1,000,000 prize pool tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Let’s check out more details in this article.
LCQ schedule and where to watch
The SF6 LCQ takes place over three action-packed days and is televised live on the official Esports World Cup side channel. View the schedule here:
- Thursday, August 14: Pools start at 9 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. CEST
- Friday, August 15: Top 64 begins at 11 a.m. ET / 5 p.m. CEST
- Saturday, August 16: Top 16 kicks off at 9 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. CEST (ongoing now!)
Out of 250 registered players and only the top eight will secure their places and every match is going to be a very exciting and nail-biting.
Beyond the LCQ
The main Street Fighter 6 Esports World Cup 2025 event is going to run from August 20 to August 23, 2025. This will be followed by the Capcom Cup 12 qualifiers, with the next CPT Premier, Ultimate Fighting Arena 2025, set for September 12-14, 2025.

Key matchups & standings
The journey and challenges for the Top 8 are going to be interesting and very difficult for the participants.
Notable battles include Kintyo vs. Ryusei, vWsym vs. GO1, and Hikaru vs. Jr., with the results still unknown as of today.
The Top 8 and ultimate standings are yet to be determined, but expect heated matchups featuring the meta’s greatest characters.
This LCQ is even going to feature FGC legends like Daigo Umehara, GO1 (Evo and EWC 2025 champ), and ZJZ (two-time Evo winner), alongside rising stars like NuckleDu and Tachikawa.

It began on August 14, 2025, with the Top 16 concluding today, August 16, at 9 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. CEST.
