The Blood of Dawnwalker revealed: Ex-CD Projekt Red Devs' latest RPG venture

Rebel Wolves, which is formed by the top ex-devs of CD Projekt Red has just revealed their new project, “The Blood of Dawnwalker.” A full 4:40 minute cinematic trailer was revealed along with a small gameplay teaser.

This will be a new open-world RPG saga from them and fans are really excited for it. Let’s check out more details in this article.

The Blood of Dawnwalker trailer

The Blood of Dawnwalker, directed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who previously directed the critically acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, appears to share some DNA with its predecessor in terms of gloomy, atmospheric visuals and narrative depth.

Players take on the role of Coen, a young man who has been converted into a Dawnwalker and must navigate a life divided between day and night. Your journey will require you to use both human resilience and vampiric might to save those you care about while dealing with a variety of foes ranging from humans to monsters to time itself.

In the trailer itself, it shows how Coen was trying to save a child who has suffered the plague and because of that, the soldiers were after them. Just when they were about to die, we saw some vampiric creatures arriving and saving them both. They even converted them both to vampires and tell how the world is about to change from now on.

After that, we see a small glimpse of gameplay which looks stunning. More gameplay will be revealed in Summer 2025, maybe Summer Game Fest. The game is coming for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

This unveiling has undoubtedly set the ground for what might be one of the most anticipated RPGs of recent years, blending its creators’ reputation with new, dark fantasy themes. Fans were even commenting about how this might be a Witcher series based on a Vampiric theme.
