All eyes are set on the next Unreal Engine Fest
CD Projekt Red has recently shared some new gameplay insights about their upcoming game, The Witcher 4, during Episode 26 of the AnsweRED podcast.
With marketing said to be ramping up soon, they have revealed that the game will feature overhauled movement mechanics, enhanced animations and a more interactive open world.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is easily one of the best open-world action RPGs of all time, but it still had flaws. CD Projekt Red is about to address those concerns and make it even better in their next game.
Ciri will be far more agile than Geralt
During the podcast, the developers talked about the movement and how it will be different this time. It is said that Ciri is far more agile than Geralt.
A dedicated jump button will be included and now you can cast while moving. Ciri can also swim underwater. This means that we might get some squatic exploration or have some underwater monster battles in The Witcher 4.
World-building enhancements & animations
The Witcher 4 world-building will have major upgrades. The overall map size is expected to be similar to Witcher 3, but it will be more interactive than the previous titles.
NPCs are said to be more diverse, reactive, and lifelike, which will make the world more immersive and richer as an open-world game. CD Projekt Red plans to create dynamic worlds where players are more responsive to their actions by the characters.

The animations will also be enhanced. Ciri is more emotional due to the fact that she has not been mutated as required of the Witchers.
The developers have employed numerous animations to give details about her character and the depth of her feelings. Remarkably, concerning movements, there are approximately 80 animations that are seemingly devoted only to such movements.
