New updates on CD Projekt Red’s upcoming projects

All the Witcher fans and gamers are excited for the new The Witcher 3 DLC for Wild Hunt, which is now projected to release in May 2026.

Noble Securities analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski (via Strefa Inwestorów) has revealed many details about the upcoming CD Projekt Red projects. Let’s check out more details in this article.

What’s the new The Witcher 3 DLC about?

This will be a paid expansion budgeted at ~$14.5M (PLN 52M) and aims to sell 11M copies at $30. The insider has hinted at a 10-15 hour Ciri-focused story, with new weapons, gears, contracts and possibly revamped areas.

This will rival the Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine DLC. This may also tie the Wild Hunt ending and bridge the gap between the upcoming Witcher 4, where Ciri is the main protagonist of the game.

Fool’s Theory, which is also remaking The Witcher 1 (2028), makes one final use of REDengine before CDPR transitions to Unreal Engine 5.

For now, expected to be released in May 2026.

Expected release for Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 with multiplayer features

The reports also suggest that with the release of Witcher 3 DLC, CD Projekt RED will start the actual marketing for the next game.

For now, the Witcher 4 is targeted to be released by the end of 2027. For Cyberpunk 2, it is expected that the development team will be doubled in two years.

It is expected to be released by Q4 2030 with multiplayer, around the time of Cyberpunk’s 10th anniversary.
