Epic Games continues to provide players and fans opportunities to get the cosmetics for free in the game. This time, it is the new Fortnite Champion Kor skin that can be unlocked by competing in the upcoming FNCS tournament.

Many players and fans are looking forward to grab this amazing cosmetic without spending any V-Bucks on it. Here’s everything that you need to know about how you can unlock this skin for free.

Fortnite Champion Kor skin major requirement: Participate in FNCS Cup

To unlock this skin for free, players and fans must participate in either the Champion Kor FNCS Cup or the FNCS Mobile Cup on April 11, 2026.

Both of these events will take place on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Map. The main FNCS cup is a battle duo tournament, while the mobile version is a solo tournament played in Blitz mode.

Performance-based rewards

This is not like any other item shop cosmetics. Fortnite Champion Kor skin is a performance-based reward. This means only the top-ranking players in the region will be able to unlock it.

In the Battle Royale FNCS Cup, those who finish in the highest ranks (i.e. the top 1,175 in Europe) will be awarded the skin and additional cosmetics, including:

• Kor’s Victory Wrap
• Assassin’s Emblem Back Bling
• Competitor’s Prybar Pickaxe

You can also earn bonus rewards by reaching the points milestones. For example, sprays at 8 and 40 points.

Region-based placements

Also, remember, the number of winners varies by region. For example:

• Europe: Top 1,175
• NA Central: Top 450
• Asia, OCE, Middle East: Top 125

Meanwhile, FNCS mobile cup has a smaller reward pool:

• Europe: Top 245 NA
• Central: Top 95 Asia, OCE
• Middle East: Top 25

If you can’t secure the top placements in the region, then don’t worry, Fortnite Champion Kor skin will eventually arrive in the item shop. However, you have to purchase it with V-Bucks.
