Remedy Entertainment action-adventure RPG, Control Resonant, is all set to launch on September 24, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The developers have revealed a new way to let players tailor the difficulty to their liking in the game. This will also not disable trophies or achievements. So, now you can enjoy the game with your difficulty customization and still earn trophies and achievements.
Lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov has explained the feature, saying it was for players to enjoy Control Resonant in their own way, and not impose a fixed level of challenge upon them.

Extensive gameplay customization offered in Assist mode
In Control Resonant, there are no traditional difficulty settings like Easy, Normal or Hard. Instead, we get customizable Assist Mode.
Here’s how players can tweak the difficulty settings and several gameplay elements:
- Enemy aggression
- Enemy projectile speed
- Perfect Dodge timing window
- Incoming damage
- Outgoing damage
- Falter damage dealt to enemies
- Power recovery speed
- Enhanced melee magnetizing for easier close-range combat

Immortality and one-hit kills
If any players just want to enjoy the story and do not want to worry about the combat and difficult situations against the bosses, Remedy Entertainment has provided a solution for them.
In Assist mode, you can find options like:
- Immortality
- One-hit kills
- One-hit Falter attacks
- Ready-made Assist Mode presets
Players can easily enable or disable these features at any point in the game. You will have full flexibility in how you want to enjoy this experience.

Trophies & achievements will remain unlocked
Using the Assist mode in the game will not hinder your trophies and achievements. According to Sergey Mohov, the development team believes that players and fans should never be punished for using the easy accessibility option.
He said everybody’s time is valuable and players should enjoy their game in any manner that they choose to. Due to that philosophy, all trophies or achievements are still possible if any of the Assist Mode settings are enabled. That is all for Assist Mode and the game is releasing on September 25, 2026.
