One of the most interesting and amazing highlights of the Xbox Games Showcase for me was EVR Studio’s new game, Mudang Two Hearts.

This game is set to launch in 2026 and will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. This is a stealth cinematic third-person action-adventure game, inspired by the webtoon Moodang.

Mudang Two Hearts showcases a story of unified Korea

Mudang Two Hearts is set in the near future, where North Korea and South Korea have been unified under a treaty.

But then, the story takes a dark turn as a terrorist group, led by the enigmatic ID: Ghost, attacks the South Korean National Assembly on the bill’s signing day.

This sparks a huge chaos across the peninsula, which will set the stage for an immersive narrative for the players.

There are two protagonists: Ji Jeong Tae, a North Korean soldier on a military exchange, and Gavi, a K-pop idol from the group ORDO. Players will switch between them and will experience different narratives and actions.

The event’s official gameplay reveal trailer emphasizes the game’s intensive stealth mechanics and dynamic combat.

As EVR Studio’s debut title, it reflects years of effort and promises a rich, responsive environment.

Thoughts

I was pretty surprised to see that this game looked so good. I really liked their approach with two protagonists as well.

This game kind of reminded me of the Ubisoft Splinter Cell series. Fast-paced stealth action, zombie-like infection, political strife in the whole of Korea, now this is truly an intriguing game.
