Scottie Scheffler tied for second place at the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge, five shots behind winner Davis Riley. Despite a 63 in the third round, Scheffler couldn’t mount a successful comeback, earning $809,900 and finishing tied for second with Keegan Bardley.
Scottie Scheffler, who won the 2024 Masters, continued his dominance on the PGA Tour with four victories in five starts. His highlight was his win at the RBC Heritage, marking the first time since 1985 that Scheffler won both the Masters and RBC Heritage in the same season.
Despite feeling fatigued from his Masters triumph, Scheffler showed up at Harbour Town Golf Links, making pars on his final two holes and a bogey on the last, resulting in a 3-under 68.
Charles Schwab Challenge 2024 Leaderboard
Scheffler has been a consistent player, winning at several major tournaments, including the Arnold Palmer Invitational, The PLAYERS Championship and the Masters. He has also won four of his past five starts, becoming the first player since Tiger Woods in 2007-08 to do so. Scheffler’s success continued at the 2024 PGA Championship, adding another major title.
His 10 career PGA Tour victories have all come since the start of the 2021-22 season, making him the first player to win 10 times in three seasons since Dustin Johnson in 2015-2018.
