With consecutive wins under their belt, the Indian Men’s Hockey Team will be buzzing with confidence when they face second-placed England in their final stage of their European Tour in Men’s FIH Pro League 2025-26.

India face hosts England in their first of their two-meetings in London later today at the Lee Valley Hockey Centre.

Craig Fulton’s side are second from bottom at the points standings, but have won three of their last four matches—including over reigning Pro League champions Netherlands and World Champions Germany.

India defeated Pakistan 4-3 in their previous match and will hope to carry that momentum against England, who are unbeaten in their last nine matches. In fact, they have won six of those eight meetings.

England are on 29 points from 13 matches, seven behind leaders Belgium who have 36 from the same number of games. India, at the other end of the table, are in the eighth position with 13 points. All three of their victories have come in the current European tour.

Looking ahead to the challenge against the hosts, Fulton said, “England is one of the teams in form and playing well. Our squad is feeling confident and looking forward to the England block.”

Unlike England, India are already out of title contention and are also safe from relegation [Pakistan at the bottom are yet to get a point onboard, with two matches remaining] and hence will use their remaining two matches to prepare for the upcoming Hockey World Cup in Belgium & Netherlands later this August.
