Indian women’s hockey team will face England in the title match of FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers 2026 on March 14 (Saturday). Both teams have already secured their berths for the upcoming Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium & Netherlands later this year.
England entered the final here in Hyderabad by defeating Scotland in the semis, while India edged past Italy to reach the title match.

England progressed through goals from Lottie Bingham and Darcy Bourne, defeating neighbours Scotland to make the final.
The World No. 6 side will enter the final as the favourites, given their superiority in rankings—India are at 9th place in the FIH hockey rankings.
England also have a 100% winning record in the tournament so far, having won each of their four matches. They topped Pool A after defeating Italy (5-2), South Korea (3-0) and Austria (2-0). England conceded just twice in the league phase while scoring on 10 occasions.
India, on the other hand, were held to a 2-2 draw by Scotland in their second Pool game. They did finish the league phase unbeaten and topped Pool B thanks to win over Uruguay (4-0) and Wales (4-1). Like England, India also scored 10 goals, but conceded thrice.
India began their campaign with a dominant 4–0 win against Uruguay, before being held to a 2–2 draw by Scotland. The host nation then concluded their group stage with a convincing 4–1 victory over Wales.
