The Indian women’s hockey team will face England in their third and final match of the pool phase at the FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup 2026.
India are currently top of Pool D, followed by China—who are on the same number of points but behind on goal difference—in second place. England and South Africa complete the pool in third and fourth place, respectively.
With four points on board, India only need a draw in their final pool match to book their place in the second round and keep their semi-final hopes alive. For England, who are on three points, this is a must-win game.
A draw will see India finish second in the pool should China defeat South Africa in the other remaining match in Pool D. Sjoerd Marijne’s side will, however, eye a victory to seal the top spot and end the pool stages on a high.
