Germany had beaten India 3-2 at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium in the semi-finals of the Olympics. By keeping the defeat in mind, the men in blue will be looking to avenge the loss.

After more than two weeks of intensive training, the German team can expect a tough fight throughout the series. With only a few hours to go, both nations will be gearing up for action as they seek a winning start.
