1. Great Britain 4-2 India (27 May, 2023)

Great Britain had some home advantage when they hosted India in the 2022-23 FIH Hockey Pro League game in London on 27 May, 2023. That gave them the edge in what turned out to be a highly entertaining game which was filled with actions from the very get-go.

Great Britain took an early lead through Timothy Nurse’s strike in the seventh minute, before Indian ace Harmanpreet Singh equalized in the 14th minute. But Great Britain bit back strongly, taking a 3-1 lead before the 35th minute thanks to Thomas Sorsby and Lee Morton. Harmanpreet pulled one back for his side in the 43rd minute, but a late goal from Nicolas Bandurak helped Great Britain seal a big win over their rivals.

2. Great Britain 4-4 (2-4) India (3 June, 2023)

India were out for revenge in their reverse fixture against the Great Britain in the FIH Hockey Pro League after the two sides met a week after the memorable encounter. This time, however, India were much more clinical with their attacking output and took the game to the hosts from the get-go. An eight-goal thriller took place at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in London, which saw Great Britain ace Sam Ward score four goals all by himself.

For India, Harmanpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh, Sukhjeet Singh and Abhishek’s goals saw the game end up in a draw. Ultimately, a penalty shoot-out was forced in which Indian goalkeeper Sreejesh came up big. He stopped two penalties to help India seal a 4-2 win, getting a big win in the 2022-23 Hockey Pro League.

3. Great Britain 3-1 India (2 June, 2024)

Almost an entire year after their thrilling penalty shootout win over Great Britain, the Indian hockey team returned to London to partake in a big 2023-24 Pro Hockey League clash in London. But this time they were unable to replicate their heroics from the previous year. Despite coming into the game at the back of two big wins over Argentina and Germany, India were outwitted by the Great Britain hockey team.

The hosts had a blistering start to the game, taking the lead in the second minute itself through Nicolas Bandurak. Bandurak also doubled his side’s lead with another goal in the 11th minute, putting the Indian team under immense pressure. Abhishek pulled one back with a well-taken strike in the 35th minute as India took an all-out attack approach to salvage a result after that. But the hosts defended well, and forward William Calnan sealed the win with a decisive finish in the 47th minute.

4. Great Britain 3-2 India (9 June, 2024)

India aimed for revenge against the Great Britain side in their reverse fixure of the 2023-24 Hockey Pro League campaign a week after that gutting loss. But they fell behind extremely early once again, with Phil Roper scoring a goal in the first minute of the game itself. But Craig Fulton’s men showed impressive resilience in regaining their confidence and biting back strongly.

Goals from Sukhjeet Singh and Harmanpreet Singh helped India take a 2-1 lead by the 36th minute, but they couldn’t hold their nerves after that. The Great Britain side took confidence from their home crowd and roared back after going behind, with Jack Waller scoring the equalizer one minute after Harmanpreet’s strike. Then Alan Forsyth scored the winning strike in the 50th minute, helping Great Britain get a narrow win over India in their Summer Olympics preparations.
