India beat Pakistan 4-3 when they met in the reverse fixture earlier this week, with the Green Shirts needing two late goals to make it a respectable scoreline.
Craig Fulton’s men will eye a similar result, especially after the shootout loss to England on Thursday.
India had to comeback from 1-2 down, having initially taken the lead, needing a late goal from Dilpreet Singh—who also scored India’s first— to hold England. The Three Lions are second in the Men’s FIH Pro League 2025-26 standings, with 31 points from 14 matches.
While the draw against India dented their chances of pushing leaders Belgium for the title, with just two matches remaining, they did win the shootout to take another point off the match.
India are eighth in the table with just 14 points from the same number of matches. Fulton’s men are far from being title contenders but are also safe from relegation, thanks to Pakistan failing to onboard a point after 14 games.
The Green Shirts are confirmed to be relegated to the FIH Nations Cup and will be replaced by France, who earned promotion to next season’s Pro League.
