India and South Korea added another chapter to their hockey rivalry at the Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025 in Rajgir. The Men in Blue met the Koreans in the final and defeated the five times champions to win their fiurth title. Find the India vs South Korea head-to-head record below.

India topped their Pool to qualify for the Super 4 stage of Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025 while Korea finished second in their Pool (B) to reach this stage. The Korean team won two and lost one of their matches in the group phase, with their only defeat coming against Malaysia.

On the other hand, India finished the Pool phase unbeaten and with 100% win record, winning all three of their matches while also scoring 22 goals.

In the Super 4 stage, India topped the standings with seven points. They booked their place in the finals with a massive 7-0 win over China. Meanwhile, South Korea had earned four points from one win, one draw, and one loss, edging out Malaysia and China by a single point to secure their spot in the final.

The final match saw complete domination by the hosts in front of home crowd. Sukhjeet Singh scored within 30 seconds, and Dilpreet Singh added a brace (28’, 45’), with Amit Rohidas scoring in the 50th minute. Son Dain netted a late consolation for South Korea, but it was too late.

Korea have 11 wins to their name, while the remaining 12 encounters between the two sides have ended in draws.

South Korea last defeated India during an international friendly match on the 30th March 2019. The Asian nation defeated the Men in Blue 2-1 on penalties after the full-time score read 1-1.
