The Indian junior men’s hockey team will compete in the 4 Nations Tournament from June 21.

The Indian junior men’s hockey team will compete in a 4 Nations Tournament from June 21 to 25, alongside Spain, Australia, and Germany. The tournament will serve as a preparation for the upcoming FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup, scheduled to take place later this year in Chennai and Madurai from November 28 to December 10.

Araijeet Singh Hundal will lead the Indian side, while Amir Ali will serve as his deputy.

All matches of the 4 Nations Tournament 2025 will be played at the TC 1899 Blau Weiss in Berlin. The Indian junior men’s hockey team will begin their campaign against hosts Germany on Saturday (June 21). They will play their next two group stage matches against Australia and Spain on June 22 and 24, respectively.

The Indian junior women’s hockey team will also compete in a 4 Nations Tournament from June 20 to 24 at the same venue. They will be joined by Spain, Australia, and hosts Germany in the competition. The Women’s 4 Nations tournament will follow the same format as the men’s event, with teams playing three matches each followed by the third-place match and final.

What is the format of the tournament?

The 4 Nations Tournament 2025 in Rosario will be played in a round-robin format, with each team playing three matches each in the tournament. Each team will play the other opponent once in the group stage. The top two teams at the end of the group stage will face each other in the final, while the next two teams will lock horns in the third-place encounter.

Standby players: Adarsh G (goalkeeper), Prasant Barla (defender), Chandan Yadav (midfielder), and Mohd. Konain Dad (forward).
