India are the defending champions and will aim to retain the title.

The Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024 will be the eighth edition and will be held in Rajgir, Bihar, India. The tournament will commence on November 11, with the final scheduled for November 20. This will be the second time India will be hosting the event. India also hosted the 2023 event in Ranchi, Patna, where a large crowd came to support the girls. For the Indian women’s hockey team, this will be a new start after failure of not qualifying for the Olympics earlier this year. However, defending the title won’t be easy as the Olympic silver medalist China will be among the teams competing. The Women in Blue are set to face China in the round-robin match on 16th November.

Led by Salima Tete, India begin their campaign against Malaysia on November 11.
