Sahul Kumar scores 10 tackle points in sf, ties with Surender Nada

Jaipur Pink Panthers beat Bengaluru Bulls in a one-sided encounter (49-29) and are through to the finals for the first time since season four where they finished second. The defence did an excellent job, especially Sahul Kumar who scored a high 5. The right-corner defender scored ten tackle points in 14 tackles and this was by far one of the best defensive shows in all the playoff games so far in the Pro Kabaddi League.
Along with Sahul Kumar, Surrender Nada of Bengal Warriors to has scored 10 tackle points in the playoffs. At the end of the league stage, Sahul Kumar stood 21st in the tackle points chart scoring 43 points at an average of two per match. Jaipur’s main defenders were Sunil Kumar and Ankush Rathee who both were in the top 5 list most times. Sahul proved his prowess when required to score ten tackle points in a high-pressure game.
The defenders in total scored 22 tackle points with both Ankush and Reza scoring respective high 5s. This is the first time in the history of the league that three players have scored high 5s in a single match. The collective team effort with defence showing up has been the hallmark of Jaipur Pink Panthers throughout the season. Three defenders from Jaipur Pink Panthers have scored more than 50 tackle points.
V Ajith Kumar in the last few matches has taken over the primary raider’s role from Arjun Deshwal and has started to peak at the right time. Ajith Kumar has also scored three successive super 10s which shall give him more confidence going into the finals.
