Reflecting on career of Indian Kabaddi's 'Crown Jewel' Pardeep Narwal
The Dubki King has the most number of raid points in PKL.
Pardeep Narwal the “dubki king” has become a household name in Indian Kabaddi with his achievements in the past few years at the Pro Kabaddi League. The 25-year-old started his journey in PKL season 2 with Bengaluru Bulls and since has gone on to represent three franchises (Bengaluru Bulls, Patna Pirates, and UP Yoddhas).
In an interview with Khel Now TV, Pardeep Narwal said, “I was watching PKL on TV during the first edition and wanted to play and reach a wider audience one day. Also, initially I liked Rahul Chaudhari who was a standout performer”. Pardeep Narwal from watching PKL on TV in season 1 has turned out to be a star raider now.

Pardeep Narwal started his PKL career in season 2 representing Bengaluru Bulls under coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat. He could not get enough opportunities to perform playing in six matches and scoring nine points. The raider shifted to Patna Pirates in season 3 which turned out to be a positive one scoring 121 points in 16 matches. Pardeep was instrumental in Patna winning their maiden PKL title under the guidance of coach Sanjeev Baliyan.
The “Dubki” king continued his prime form in season 4 scoring 133 points in 16 matches. The most productive season in terms of stats was season 5 where the star raider scored 369 points overall and became the first player to breach the 300 raid points in a single season. Patna Pirates became the first team to win hat-trick titles in Pro Kabaddi League history and is the most successful franchise to date winning three and finishing runner-up once (season 8).
Pardeep Narwal after representing Patna Pirates for five seasons decided to shift sides. He was brought by UP Yoddhas and was the costliest buy in the season. It wasn't a good season going by his standards scoring 188 points but gained back form in the next season breaching the 200 raid points mark barrier.
The 26-year-old made his debut for the national team in 2016 and since has been an important member of the side.
