PKL 10: Top five players retained through FBM card
Franchises used the option strategically to retain key players.
The auction for the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 10) has concluded, and during this period, there were spirited bidding wars for the players. This time, the auction set new records and saw some hefty bids for players like Pawan Sehrawat. Mohammadreza Shadlu also fetched a high price. The FBM card was also actively used during the PKL auction. Several players received substantial bids but were retained by their teams using the FBM card. 5. Sajin C (Patna Pirates)
Sajin C was part of the Patna Pirates team in the previous season and will be playing for them once again. During the PKL 10 auction, Sajin C received a bid of 13 lakhs, but Patna Pirates used the FBM card for him. Sajin C's performance in the previous season was impressive, which is why Patna Pirates decided to retain him, making it a good decision.
4. Ashu Malik (Dabang Delhi)
Ashu Malik had a base price of 20 lakhs, and Patna Pirates and Tamil Thalaivas placed bids to acquire him. Bengaluru Bulls also bid for him. There was an intense bidding war between these three teams, and eventually, Tamil Thalaivas acquired him for 96 lakhs and 25 thousand. However, Dabang Delhi used the FBM card for him. Ashu Malik will once again be seen playing for Dabang Delhi.
3. Guman Singh (U Mumba)
Young raider Guman Singh was acquired by U Mumba once again during the PKL 10 auction, using the FBM card. Gujarat and Patna Pirates had initially bid for Guman Singh, with a base price of 20 lakhs. Bengaluru Bulls also attempted to acquire him. In the end, U Mumba successfully secured him for 85 lakhs. Guman Singh had received a high bid in the previous season but was released by U Mumba and has now been acquired at a lower price.
2. Vikash Kandola (Bengaluru Bulls)
Veteran all-rounder Vikash Kandola will once again play for Bengaluru Bulls in PKL 10. U Mumba acquired him for 55 lakhs and 25 thousand during the auction, but Bengaluru Bulls used the FBM card for him. Vikash Kandola's base price was 20 lakhs, and Haryana Steelers also bid aggressively for him.
Patna Pirates and U Mumba also tried to acquire him. In the end, U Mumba secured him, but Bengaluru Bulls used the FBM card for him. Vikash Kandola has played 101 matches in his overall career, earning 752 points, including 22 Super Raids and 29 Super 10s.
1. Maninder Singh (Bengal Warriors)
Maninder Singh, a seasoned raider, was part of the auction this time but will once again be seen playing for Bengal Warriors in the next season. Maninder Singh had gone to the auction after several seasons, and there was a strong bidding war for him. His base price was 30 lakhs, and Patna Pirates were the first to bid for him. Later, Telugu Titans also attempted to acquire him, and Bengaluru Bulls made a bid too.
Dabang Delhi also bid for him. Although Telugu Titans eventually acquired him for two crores and 12 lakhs, Bengal Warriors used the FBM card to secure him, fulfilling his dreams. Now, Maninder Singh will be seen in the jersey of Bengal Warriors once again.
