PKL 11: All teams eliminated from playoffs race

Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) is heading into its final stretch, and the competition for playoff spots is heating up. This season has been a rollercoaster, with some underdog teams exceeding expectations while a few big names have failed to deliver. It’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting editions we’ve seen in years.
As the league stage nears its conclusion, the top two teams will earn direct tickets to the PKL 11 semi-finals. Teams ranked third to sixth will battle it out in two eliminators. The third-placed team will face the sixth, while the fourth and fifth will clash for a spot in the semis. The winners of these matches will complete the semi-final. While the remaining six teams will be out of the race for the playoffs. be out of the race of playoffs.
The playoffs are set to take place at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. The eliminator will be played on 26 December, the semi-finals on 27 December and the final on 29 December. With just a few matches left in the league stage, let’s take a look at the teams who have been eliminated from Pro Kabaddi 2024 playoffs race.

1. Bengaluru Bulls
Pardeep Narwal’s Bengaluru Bulls were the first team to be officially out of the PKL 11 playoffs race. They sit at the bottom of the PKL 11 table with only two wins and a draw from 19 matches. Their paltry 19 points and a league-worst points difference of -145 highlight the extent of their struggles this year.
Pardeep Narwal has failed to replicate his past heroics, while Ajinkya Pawar and Jai Bhagwan have not been up to mark. Despite Nitin Rawal (second in tackle points), Bulls’ defence have been shaky throughout.

2. Gujarat Giants
Gujarat Giants‘ become the second team to be eliminated from the playoffs race. Their performance this season have been poor, with 5 wins, 12 losses, and 2 draws in 19 matches. Their current tally of 34 points and poor points differential of -98 is the reason for their exit.
3. Tamil Thalaivas
Tamil Thalaivas become the third team to be eliminated from the playoffs race. They bought Sachin Tanwar at the highest price during the auction. Sachin was included in the team by Thalaivas for Rs 2.15 crore, making him the most expensive player of this season. Despite this, this season was quite embarrassing for the team.
Tamil started the season well, but poor form of Sachin Tanwar and Narender Kandola created problems for them. Tamil have won only six out of the 19 matches played so far. They have lost 12 matches and played one tie.
4. Bengal Warriorz
Bengal Warriorz are at 10th place in the points table with 5 wins and 40 points in 19 matches and despite 3 consecutive wins in the remaining 3 matches, it is now impossible for them to go to the playoffs. Due to registering only 2 wins in the last 10 matches, Fazel Atrachali‘s Bengal are completely out of the race for the top 6.
5. Puneri Paltan
Defending champions Puneri Paltan become the fifth team to be eliminated from the playoffs race. They got this big blow after Jaipur defeated Bengal. Puneri have won only 8 matches so far this season and are at eighth place with 55 points.
6. Telugu Titans
Due to the victory of U Mumba in the last league match of PKL 11, Telugu Titans were out of the race for the playoffs. Telugu Titans won 12 matches in 22 matches and finished seventh with 66 points. Telugu Titans had a great chance to reach the top 6 but they suffered a big setback due to only 2 wins in the last 5 matches.
