1. Haryana Steelers
Haryana Steelers, who currently lead the standings, became the first team to qualify for the PKL 11 playoffs officially with a win over Bengaluru Bulls in match 105. They have been the standout team showing exceptional form and consistency throughout the league stage. With 15 wins from 18 matches and 77 points, they sit atop the standing.
Steelers’ success this season can be attributed to their balanced squad, with both raiders and defenders stepping up in crucial moments. Their ability to adapt to opponents’ strategies and maintain composure under pressure has made them one of the most formidable teams in PKL 11.
As the league stage approaches its climax, Haryana Steelers have four critical matches remaining. They will now face Dabang Delhi on December 14, UP Yoddhas on December 17, and finally U Mumba on December 22.
Which other teams can qualify for the PKL 11 playoffs?
Patna Pirates, sitting second with 58 points, have been one of the standout performers. Their raiding unit, led by Devank with a league-topping 221 raid points, and supported by Ayan Lohchab’s 127 points, has been exceptional. Their defence, featuring stalwarts like Ankit Jaglan and Shubham Shinde, has added solidity, making them a balanced and cohesive side, one of the contenders for the title.
UP Yoddhas, currently in third place with 56 points, have mounted an impressive comeback. After a shaky start, young talents Gagan Gowda and Bhavani Rajput have stepped up to complement their defensive duo of Hitesh and captain Sumit Sangwan, providing the team with much-needed momentum.
Tied on points with the Yoddhas but fourth due to a point difference, Dabang Delhi have also been a strong contender. Ashu Malik’s 12 Super 10s and 174 raid points have been instrumental, while Yogesh and Naveen Kumar have delivered crucial performances in both raiding and defence.
On the other hand, Telugu Titans have shown remarkable resilience, overcoming early struggles to climb to fifth place with 54 points. Captain Vijay Malik’s 138 raid points have been crucial to their success, ensuring they stay in playoff contention.
Meanwhile, U Mumba, sitting in sixth place with 55 points, have relied on their rock-solid defence led by Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal. Ajit Chouhan’s rise as a top raider with 143 points has given their attack new energy.
Note: Except Haryana, no team has officially qualified for the playoffs yet, this is based on our mathematical calculations.
