The 44th match of Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 will be played between Tamil Thalaivas and Gujarat Giants at SDAT Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai on December 27 at 9 pm.

Tamil Thalaivas have suffered three defeats in their home leg and with just 11 points in seven games, the home team hasn’t done anything right. The Raiders have been the biggest disappointment with Narender and Ajinkya Pawar on the verge of getting dropped. They already have failed to start in previous games and they have to start scoring if Thalaivas need to push for a qualification.

Himanshu Narwal and Himanshu Singh have shown promise in one or two games but that hasn’t taken his team to victory. The defense has been manned by Sahil Gulia is going from strength to strength scoring 10 tackle points against Haryana Steelers. He along with Sagar Rathee will look to stop the likes of Sonu Jaglan and Rakesh.

On the other hand, Gujarat Giants after a minor blip has come back with a brilliant win against UP Yoddhas. The advantage of having an experienced skipper like Fazel Atrachalli was on display as he led them brilliantly when they were down against UP Yoddhas in the first half of their last game. With a lot of youngsters in the squad, Fazel and Mohammad Nabibhaksh have made a huge difference.

Tactical reviews and assigning Do-or-Die Raids have caused momentum changes and Ram Mehar Singh would be happy to have Fazel on the mat. While the Iranian along with Sombir has handled the defense, the inconsistency of their Raiders is the only loophole for the two-time finalists. It will be interesting to see how Rakesh Sangroha, Sonu Jaglan, and Rohit Gulia go against the Thalaivas’ defenders.
