PKL 10 Semifinal 2: Haryana Steelers qualify for their first-ever final by beating defending champion Jaipur Pink Panthers
A new champion will be crowned this season.
Haryana Steelers knocked out the defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers in the semifinals of PKL 10 to set up the title clash with Puneri Paltan. It was a game that went on till the final minute of the game as both Jaipur and Haryana produced one of the matches of the season.
There were battles within the battle which were the most interesting things coming into the game. The biggest battle was between Arjun Deshwal and Vinay, and it was the Haryana Raider who gave the initial blows as the defending champions suffered an all-out in the first 10 minutes. He was well supported by Shivam Patare as both scored six points in the first half to give a six-point lead.
But if there is a team that has come back from a six-point deficit, it is the Jaipur Pink Panthers who has done it six times this season. The two-time champions started the second half with a bang as multiple raid points ensured a 17th Super 10 for Arjun Deshwal. But Jaideep and his boys weren’t making it easy as they made him sit out for most of the second half.
While Arjun Deshwal came back late in the second half and tried to pull a rabbit out of nowhere the strong closely knit defensive unit of Haryana Steelers was ahead of the game as they delivered telling blows to silence the Jaipur raiders. Vinay and Shivam Patare had their best day of the season as they produced many magical moments. These two will look to repeat it on Friday as they take on a rampaging Puneri Paltans for the title.
