The Indian Kabaddi team won their second consecutive title.

After eight days of exciting matches and intense competition, the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 has come to an end. The Indian women’s team emerged as the World Champions after defeating Chinese Taipei in the final 35–28.

The star for the Indian team in the final was Sanju Devi, whose crucial points at important moments helped seal the victory. Other Indian players, like Pushpa Rana, also played key roles in the team’s success.

The second edition of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup offered incredible drama and entertainment. There were thrilling matches and extraordinary performances by players. Both in raiding and defence, players stepped up for their teams and delivered some memorable moments.

Most Valuable Player (MVP) – Sanju Devi (India)

Chhattisgarh’s Sanju Devi emerged as India’s best player in this World Cup. From the very first game, she was seen leading the raiding lineup and often stepped up in defence as well.

She gave her best for the team, and her performances in the semi-final and final were key to the team’s victory.

For her outstanding contributions and incredible all-round performance throughout the tournament, she has been honoured with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025.

Raider of the tournament – I MIN LIN (Chinese Taipei)

Chinese Taipei finished as the silver medalists in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup. They were also the silver medalists at the latest Asian Games. The team performed very well in this World Cup and remained unbeaten before entering the final.

One of the main performers for the team was I Min Lin. She stepped up as the lead raider and produced some of the best kabaddi in the tournament. Her incredible performance in the semi-final against Bangladesh helped the team secure the win and advance to the final.

She also gave her best in the final against India, but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory. For her outstanding raiding performance in the tournament, she has been awarded the Raider of the Tournament.

Defender of the tournament – M.Srity Akter

The hosts of this World Cup, Bangladesh, lost the semi-final against Chinese Taipei and had to say goodbye to their dream of winning the World Cup on home soil. Fans turned out in large numbers to support the home team. They reached the semi-finals, securing the bronze medal.

The left corner of the team, M. Srity Akter, was the standout performer throughout the tournament. From day one, she stood like a wall in defence and helped Bangladesh win crucial matches.

Her brilliant performances played a key role in the team reaching the semi-final and ultimately securing the bronze medal. For her outstanding defensive display in the tournament, she has been awarded the Defender of the Tournament.

Who won the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 title?

India defeated Chinese Taipei 35-28 in the final to lift the title.
