About
The Indian men's kabaddi team is a powerhouse in international kabaddi competitions. Their track record is nothing short of extraordinary, having secured gold medals at the Asian Games consistently from 1990, the inaugural year for the sport, and subsequently in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014. Furthermore, they have also emerged victorious in all three editions of the Kabaddi World Cup held to date. In 2022, Pawan Sehrawat took up the mantle of team captain, succeeding Deepak Niwas Hooda, who faced a rough patch in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 9.
