Could Pardeep Narwal be sold on PKL 12 Auction Day 2?

Pardeep Narwal is the most successful raider in PKL history

Several records were broken at the auction table, some players got staggering prices, and some went unsold as the Pro Kabaddi League Auction Season 12 comes to an end at the NSCI, Mumbai. In the unsold list, the most shocking name was the Pro Kabaddi League superstar and Kabaddi Legend Dupki King Pardeep Narwal.

Pardeep Narwal, who entered the auction as a Category B raider with a base price of ₹20 lakhs, failed to attract any bids, and as a result, Pardeep went unsold in the auction. One of the main reasons for this is his underwhelming performance. Pardeep was a part of the Bengaluru Bulls last season, where he scored just 111 raid points in 20 matches. He had a poor season and wasn’t able to perform at all.

Pardeep Narwal’s PKL Journey so far

However, it was a bit expected that Pardeep Narwal might go unsold, considering her form was poor. Pardeep was struggling for almost two seasons. In season 10, he scored 122 raid points in 17 matches, and in season 11, his performance declined once again.

Pardeep started his journey with Bengaluru Bulls, where he didn’t get many opportunities. In season 3, he was acquired by the Patna Pirates, and his fortunes changed as he had a breakthrough season. In 2017, he became the first Raider to score 300+ points in one season.

Pardeep scored a massive 369 points in season 5 and played a key role in helping his team, Patna Pirates, to lift the trophy. In 2019, he once again scored 300 raid points in one season. However, he was released by the Patna Pirates and was acquired by UP Yoddhas in the season 8 auction. He had two great seasons with them.

Hope still alive for Day 2

There is still a glimmer of hope for Narwal. As per the auction rules, unsold players get another chance when teams can select from the unsold list on Day 2. Pardeep’s fans can still expect him to be sold at the PKL auction. A similar situation happened in a previous auction when Rahul Chaudhary went unsold on Day 1 of Season 9 but was later taken by the Jaipur Pink Panthers on Day 2.
