India defeated Germany to qualify for the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 semi-finals.

The 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup has been exciting so far. Being held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the tournament initially saw mostly one-sided matches during the first three days, where the stronger teams comfortably dominated their opponents.

However, the 4th day brought a noticeable shift in intensity and competition. Teams looked more settled, strategies were sharper, and the fight on the mat was much tougher compared to the earlier days.

A total of four matches were played on the 4th day, and unlike the previous rounds, two of those matches were decided by a margin of 10 points or less, showing how evenly matched some teams were.

The fourth day of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup brought a different level of competition compared to the previous days. The action began with a high-profile clash between the Asian Games silver medalists, Chinese Taipei, and the runners-up of the last World Cup, Iran.

Chinese Taipei, who had defeated Iran in the semifinals of the recent Asian Games, once again proved their dominance, securing a convincing 31-21 victory.

In the second match of the day, the Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team continued their impressive performance by easily defeating Germany 63-22. With another commanding performance, India extended their unbeaten streak and, with this victory, officially secured their place in the semi-finals.

The third match featured a thrilling contest between Nepal and Kenya. It was a hard-fought battle with both teams showing great determination, but Nepal held their nerve to clinch a 28-21 victory.

The final game of the day saw Uganda take on Germany, where Uganda delivered a commanding performance and won the match with ease, finishing with a scoreline of 65-17.

Matches on 5th Day

The next day of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup also promises to deliver the same level of thrill and excitement that fans witnessed on Day 4. A total of four matches are lined up for the 5th day of action.

The day will kick off with Chinese Taipei taking on Zanzibar. The second clash will feature Thailand taking on Germany. In the third match, Poland will face Kenya as both sides search for crucial points to stay alive in the tournament.

The final game of the day will see India locking horns with Uganda, and India will look to continue their dominant run and maintain their unbeaten record.
