Indian Men's Kabaddi Team probables list announce for Asian Games 2026

India won the gold medal in men’s kabaddi at the Asian Games 2022.
The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has announced an expanded list of probables for the Indian men’s kabaddi team ahead of the 2026 Asian Games.
All selected players will now take part in a preparatory training programme, during which their performance, fitness, and consistency will be closely monitored before the final squad is trimmed. From this group, a 14-member squad will be finalised to represent India at the continental event.
The probables feature a strong mix of experienced campaigners and emerging talents. Established stars like Pawan Sehrawat, Naveen Kumar, Ashu Malik, Arjun Deshwal, and Aslam Inamdar headline the list, bringing proven raiding strength and big-match experience.
All-rounders such as Vijay Malik and Nitesh Kumar add balance to the squad, while defenders like Sunil Kumar, Shubham Shinde, and Sumit Sangwan will be crucial in anchoring the backline.
Young prospects, including Yogesh Dahiya, Narender Kandola, and Ayan Lohchab, also have an opportunity to impress during the camp and push for a spot in the final team.
The 2026 Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. Featuring over 15,000 athletes from 45 nations across 41 sports and 60 disciplines, the event will be one of the largest sporting spectacles in Asia.
