The Asian Games 2026 is now less than a month away, and every fan is excited to witness their favourite teams and athletes compete against their arch-rivals from Asian nations. The Kabaddi events at the Asian Games 2026 are scheduled to take place from September 21 to 26.
India have won all the gold medals at the event, except once in 2018, when Iran’s kabaddi teams won gold medals in both the men’s and women’s events. However, the Indian kabaddi teams will now defend their gold medals, having won both events at the 2022 Asian Games.
The Indian team have had a history of dominance at the Asian Games, and they would like to continue this. After a few coaching camps involving some of the best Kabaddi players in India, the management has finally narrowed it down to 12 players.

The 12 men’s players selected to represent the Indian team at the Asian Games include 4 raiders, 6 defenders, and 2 all-rounders.
Some of the key players missing from the squad include Naveen Kumar, Aditya Shinde, Surjeet Singh, Shubham Shinde, Yogesh Dahiya, and Parvesh Bhainswal.
However, it was a difficult task for the selectors, as they had to choose only a limited number of players for the tournament, and they made every effort to build a balanced squad using all available resources.

Raiders: Ashu Malik, Ayan Lohchab, Devank Dalal, Arjun Deshwal.
Defenders: Sunil Kumar, Jaideep Dahiya, Rahul Sethpal, Gaurav Khatri, Sumit Sangwan, Ankit Jaglan.
All-rounders: Pawan Sehrawat, Aslam Inamdar.
