Official logo unveiled for Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship 2026
The Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship 2026 begins in just a few days.
The Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship 2026 will run from 23 to 31 October at the Veer Savarkar Stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament will feature 14 nations competing for a prestigious trophy.
Over the decades, kabaddi has failed to become a medal sport at events such as the Commonwealth Games.
However, the tournament’s inaugural edition could pave the way for the sport’s inclusion in the CWG. This will serve as a test case for its inclusion in the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
Moreover, Star Sports will be the official broadcaster, with live streaming available on the JioStar app and website. This is positive news for kabaddi fans across the country who want to watch their favourite players represent their nation.

Ahead of the tournament, the organisers have unveiled the official logo for the Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship 2026.
The logo features one raider, depicted in orange, trying to escape between four defenders, depicted in blue. “Amdavad 2026” is written below the tournament name, indicating the host city.

The Indian kabaddi team won the gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 after defeating Iran in the final, showcasing their dominance in the sport. However, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has rested players from the gold-medal-winning team to give other Indian players a chance.
The squad has not been announced yet, but 17 probable players have been selected for the practice camp. The final squad selection will depend on all players’ performance during the camp.
Fans will expect the Indian team to perform well and win another tournament. Especially when major kabaddi nations like Iran and Chinese Taipei are not part of this competition. However, even though India are the clear favourites, an upset can happen on any given day.
