PKL: Pardeep Narwal’s top five Dubkis in Pro Kabaddi League history

Pardeep Narwal leads the list of most raid points in PKL.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) has grown rapidly since its inception, with 12 powerful teams and several outstanding players battling it out for the trophy. It has provided a stage to multiple players to show what they are capable of and one such name who has made a big name for himself in the Indian Kabaddi scene is Pardeep Narwal. He began his career with the Bengaluru Bulls before moving to the Patna Pirates.

Pardeep Narwal’s career took off big time at Patna Pirates and there was no looking back from there on for the former Indian captain. The 27-year-old enjoyed the best-ever season for a raider in the history of the league in the colours of Patna Pirates and led them to three back-to-back titles. He is still the league’s most successful player having racked up more than 1700 points.

Pardeep Narwal is known as the ‘Dubki King’ for his agility and jaw-dropping moves on the mat. On that note, let’s look at Pardeep Narwal’s top 5 Dubkis in Pro Kabaddi League history.

5. Patna Pirates vs Gujarat Giants – (PKL season 7)

Pardeep Narwal produced one of his iconic Dubkis in PKL 7 against the Gujarat Giants. He executed his Dubki in a super tackle situation and knocked out two defenders. He glided past the defenders as if they didn’t exist and secured two valuable points for his side.

The record breaker inspired his side to a comeback win in that game and scored 17 points in total to take Patna Pirates to a 39-33 win in Greater Noida.

4. UP Yoddhas vs Bengaluru Bulls – (PKL season 10)

Pardeep’s fourth-best Dubki came in last season in PKL 10 in the colours of the UP Yoddhas against his former side. The raider produced a dubki against two defenders who charged at him safely made it his half and secured two crucial points for his side.

Pardeep executed a picture-perfect Dubki in between the two defenders and left them thinking about what really happened. The UP Yoddhas won the game against the Bengaluru Bulls 34-33.

3. Patna Pirates vs Telugu Titans – (PKL season 3)

At number 3, we have Pardeep Narwal’s high-scoring Dubki against the Telugu Titans from PKL 3. Pardeep Narwal got a quick hand touch on a defender and took out three more defenders in the process with a Dubki and scored a super raid in the process, including one of the best players that Indian Kabaddi has ever witnessed, Rahul Chaudhari. 

2. UP Yoddhas vs Puneri Paltan – (PKL season 8)

Pardeep Narwal delivered one of his signature Dubki against Puneri Paltan in the threads of the UP Yoddhas. He went in to raid against six men and as soon as two defenders charged at him, he put in dubki between the chain of defenders and also got a quick hand touch on a third defender and recorded a super raid. Interestingly, it was an Eliminator, and Pardeep Narwal got his side over the line with an 18-pointer.

1. Patna Pirates vs Haryana Steelers – (PKL season 5)

Pardeep Narwal’s best-ever Dubki to date came against the Haryana Steelers. The dubki king pulled off a massive eight-point raid and cleaned up the Steelers. He executed a Dubki between two defenders and took a touch on everyone in the process.

The star raider went on to score 34 points in that game and led the Patna Pirates to a 69-30 victory against the Steelers. His raid against the Steelers is to date one of the most iconic raids in the history of the league.
