Pro Kabaddi League is watched and appreciated not only in India but also internationally. It has become a major platform where every Kabaddi player gets an opportunity to showcase their skills. As PKL 12 approaches, players from all around the world have started their preparations.

PKL has always been a massive stage for international Kabaddi players. India has dominated Kabaddi worldwide and is the strongest nation in this sport. When international players are selected in PKL, they gain vast experience and earn a good name in the world of Kabaddi.

South Korea, Iran, Thailand, Nepal, and Bangladesh are among the countries whose players participate in the PKL. However, players from South Korea and Iran have had the most opportunities in the Pro Kabaddi League.

In recent times, the popularity of this game and the desire to play it have increased in Bangladesh. Following their inclination in Kabaddi, the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation has shortlisted 10 players for the upcoming auction. It is the highest number ever to be shortlisted by Bangladesh for the PKL auction. On that note, let’s take a look at the list of all Bangladesh players available in the auction.

  • Md. Mijanur Rahman
  • Arif Rabbani
  • Sha Md. Shahan
  • Md. Rasel Hasan
  • Razib Ahmed
  • Roman Hossain
  • Dipayon Golder
  • Al Amin Hossain
  • Monirul Choudhary

It is certainly going to be a great experience for the Bangladesh players to get an opportunity on such a grand platform. However, it will be interesting to see how many of these players will be elected by the franchises.

This time, due to the inclusion of many foreign players in the auction, fans will be excited to see which team buys whom.

How many players have already been retained?

A total of 83 players have been retained by the 12 PKL franchises ahead of the Player Auction:

  • 25 in the Elite Retained Players (ERP) category
  • 23 in the Retained Young Players (RYP) category
  • 35 in the New Young Players (NYP) category

This leaves a maximum of 217 slots to be filled during the Player Auction.
