PKL 12: Top five best players of Bengal Warriorz in Pro Kabaddi 2025

Bengal Warriorz bought the most successful raider of last season in the PKL 12 auction.

Bengal Warriorz had a below-average season 11. They lost 14 out of 22 matches and finished in 10th place. The Warriorz lacked the raiding prowess in the previous season, as none of their raiders crossed the 125-point mark. On the other hand, they had a decent defence led by Fazel Atrachali, but they too failed to create a powerful effect.

After the poor season, the Warriorz released their former head coach, Prashant Surve, and appointed Naveen Kumar as their new head coach. Kumar has coached teams like the Indian Navy and the Sports Authority of India. Under Kumar’s guidance, the Warriors have prepared a more balanced and stronger team for the upcoming season.

Devank Dalal’s inclusion was the biggest highlight for the Warriorz from the auction. Apart from him, they have also added some top defenders to the team. On that note, let’s look at the top five best players of Bengal Warriorz in PKL 12.

5. Mayur Kadam

Mayur Kadam is one of the most experienced defenders in the Bengal Warriorz camp. Kadam was part of the Warriorz last season and will continue with them after a good season. The right cover scored 33 tackle points in 17 matches, including 2 High 5s in PKL 11. If he can support the corners well in season 12, the Warriorz defence might become hard to penetrate.

4. Vishwas S

Vishwas S is another retained player for the Warriorz. Vishwas didn’t get many chances last season, but he made the most of every opportunity he got. In 12 matches, he scored 51 raid points, including 1 Super 10. He didn’t get any anchor support from the main raiders in the previous season. In season 12, it will be interesting to see how he supports Devank Dalal throughout the season.

3. Ashish Malik

Ashish Malik had a good season and will enter his new franchise with confidence. Malik debuted for Dabang Delhi in season 10 and played two seasons for the Dabangs. In his PKL career, Malik scored 94 tackle points, including 6 High 5s in 40 matches.

Last season, he performed well with Yogesh Dahiya and gave good results. The Warriorz would be hoping for something similar between him and Nitesh Kumar this season.

2. Nitesh Kumar

Nitesh Kumar was the best defender of the Bengal Warriorz in PKL 11. After playing 6 tremendous seasons for UP Yoddhas, Kumar was bought by Bengal Warriorz in the PKL 11 auction, and he didn’t disappoint. Kumar scored 59 tackle points in 21 matches, including 5 High 5s.

Other than that, in his overall PKL career, Kumar has 409 tackle points in 150 matches, including 28 High 5s. It will be interesting to see how he gels with the new left corner of the team.

1. Devank Dalal

Devank Dalal will be the player to watch out for in the Bengal Warriorz squad. He turned out to be the best raider of PKL 11, with some incredible figures. Dalal turned the game around for Patna Pirates and took them to the finals with his impressive and aggressive raids.

The young raider scored 301 raid points in 25 matches to become the most successful raider of the season. He is going to be the key player for the Warriorz if they achieve good results in the upcoming season. The Warriorz have elected some strong players to create a well-balanced side. However, the results will depend on how well these players complement each other.
