PKL 12: Bengaluru Bulls likely released Ankush Rathee after just two matches

Ankush was the captain of the Bengaluru Bulls for the first two matches.
Ankush Rathee played the first two matches for the Bengaluru Bulls in Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12) against Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi. He was dropped from the franchise’s starting lineup for the next couple of matches against U Mumba and Patna Pirates.
However, according to details emerging, it is understood that Ankush Rathee was likely released from the Bengaluru Bulls squad before their match against the Pirates. Here are a few reasons why we’ve concluded that Bengaluru Bulls likely released Ankush Rathee:
1. The Indian raider unfollowed Bengaluru Bulls on Instagram before their match against Patna Pirates.
2. He also took down all posts related to the franchise from his profile on the same day.
3. During the Bengaluru Bulls match against the Pirates, Ankush went live on Instagram and was seen travelling in a car. All players are required to submit their phones to the PKL officials before entering the match arena on matchday. Since Ankush was active on Instagram, it proves that he wasn’t with the team on Saturday.
4. Bengaluru Bulls coach BC Ramesh refused to answer a question about Ankush Rathee when asked at the post-match press conference after their win over Patna Pirates. Additionally, he also refused to take Ankush’s name and changed the topic to the team’s performance.
5. Ankush Rathee has reached his hometown, Rohtak, in Haryana, and thus we can conclude that he isn’t with the Bulls’ squad for now.
However, the actual reason behind Ankush’s release is not yet known. We understand that there has possibly been a disagreement between the player and the team management, resulting in the player being dropped from the team by the franchise.
