Bengaluru Bulls
Thoughts on the win
Bengaluru Bulls head coach BC Ramesh opened up on his thoughts about his side’s win and said, “We are happy because this is our first win. We kept thinking about winning every match, but it was not happening. But in this match, our players played well, and the raiding and defending were also good.”
Ankush Rathee’s absence
BC Ramesh was quizzed about Ankush Rathee’s absence from the team, and he said, “I don’t want to say anything about it or take any names. We will see about that later. Right now, the team is playing well. We will take care of it, and our focus is now on the next match.”

Team’s performance
New skipper Yogesh Dahiya shared his views on his team’s performance and said, “This is our first win. We lost all the games because of our mistakes. So it is a matter of great happiness for us that we won the first match. Both defense and offense did a good job. Alireza gave his 100% and he was absolutely perfect. All the teammates and Coach Sahab are happy with his performance.”
Raiding unit’s performances
BC Ramesh reacts to the performance of his raiding unit. He said, “We had seen that Ashish, Ganesh, and Alireza were outstanding raiders. Ashish Narwal will become a good raider in the future. He is talented and has the potential. He is an asset to India.”
“Ganesh also played well in this match and will continue to do so. He is new to professional Kabaddi, but he has his own knowledge and understanding to do far better. Alireza wanted to start from the beginning, and we gave him that, and he also performed very well.”
Patna Pirates
Thoughts on the game
Patna Pirates head coach Anup Kumar expressed his disappointment with his team’s performance and said, “The whole team did not show any unity, neither in defence nor in raiding. I expect more from Ayan and Maninder as a coach, and Ayan has not been able to score points when we need him.”
“A raider is called a raider when he scores at the right time. Both defence and offence have performed poorly. Sudhakar has scored well, and apart from him, the whole team has played dull,” he added.
Thoughts ahead of the next game
Anup Kumar also shared his views on Puneri Paltan ahead of his side’s next game and said, “Pune is a good team, and Ajay is my younger brother. Pune seems to be the strongest team, and if we compare our team with theirs, then our side is quite weak.”
“The team’s morale also dropped after losing three consecutive matches. We will work a bit, sit and talk, and I will motivate the team and try to play our best in the match against Pune because only then will we be able to stand against them and give a good performance,” he added.
Maninder Singh’s performance
Kumar shared his feelings about Maninder Singh’s performance and said, “Before the match, Maninder was absolutely fit on the ground and was saying that Coach Sahab I will play and score well.”
“Initially, one or two tackles were made on him, and then he went down mentally. I was motivating him a lot from outside, but that didn’t work, so I substituted him during halftime,” he added.
