PKL 12: Akash Shinde joins as Bengaluru Bulls start training camp for Pro Kabaddi 2025

Several new faces will be in action for Bengaluru Bulls in PKL 12.

Raider Akash Shinde has joined the Bengaluru Bulls for their training camp ahead of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). The former PKL champions began their training camp in Tirupati a few days earlier, and Akash Shinde was the last Indian player to join the camp.

The PKL 6 champions acquired the services of Akash for INR 53.10 lakhs in the recently concluded PKL 12 auction. He was the costliest pick by the franchise in the two-day player auction. Bengaluru Bulls retained four players – Chandranaik M, Lucky Kumar, Manjeet, and Pankaj ahead of the auction and had a busy time in Mumbai on May 31 and June 1, signing a bunch of players.

Akash Shinde began his PKL career with Puneri Paltan in the eighth edition of the league. He scored nine points in three matches in his debut season. The Indian raider represented the Pune-based franchise for four seasons before being released by the franchise into the PKL 12 auction.

Akash had a breakthrough second season with the franchise, earning 142 points in 22 matches. He scored 58 points in 13 matches in Season 10 and also won the PKL trophy with the franchise. In the previous edition of the Pro Kabaddi League, the Indian player bagged 93 points in 19 matches.

Overall, the raider has amassed 302 points (296 raid points and 6 tackle points) in 57 matches with Puneri Paltan across four editions in the Pro Kabaddi League. He has 8 Super Raids and 9 Super 10s to his name in the PKL.

The Bulls’ overseas players from Iran are yet to join the training camp. However, their arrival date is not available yet.
