PKL 12: Top five best moments from Day 7 matches

Puneri Paltan remains in first place at the end of Day 7 of PKL 12.

Day Seven of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) was full of entertainment and a streak-breaker. In the first match, the Telugu Titans bounced back from two consecutive losses to defeat the Jaipur Pink Panthers by 37-32.

The second game of Day 7 was full of drama. A single mistake from the experienced raider Sachin Tanwar pushed the match into a tiebreaker and eventually a golden raid, where Ashu scored 2 points to secure the win for Dabang Delhi. With this result, Puneri Paltan suffered their first loss of the season.

Once again, this Day was filled with entertaining performances and thrilling moments. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five moments from Day 7 of PKL 12:

5. Nitin Dhankar’s Super 10

From the very start of the match, the Telugu Titans took a commanding lead, but the Jaipur Pink Panthers kept fighting back, thanks to their raider Nitin Dhankar, who registered his second Super 10 of the season.

He scored 13 raid points in the match and he did everything he could to keep Jaipur in the contest, but his efforts weren’t enough to secure a win, as the Pink Panthers suffered their first loss of the season.

4. Fazel Attrachali’s High 5

The Sultan of the Kabaddi mat was back in action today, and he didn’t disappoint his fans, registering his first High 5 of the season. For the first time in nearly seven seasons, Fazel Atrachali is no longer the captain of the team, and it shows in his approach. He’s playing a more aggressive brand of Kabaddi, no longer holding himself back in tackles.

This is great news for both Fazel and Delhi supporters, as his outstanding performance helped his team secure yet another victory today.

3. Ashu Malik’s Super 10

It might not have been Ashu Malik’s best day, but he still managed to score a Super 10, even though he was tackled seven times during the process.

His efforts were enough to secure a tie for the team, and after winning the toss for the golden raid, he stepped up once again, snatching a bonus and a crucial touch point to get a thrilling victory for Dabang Delhi.

2. Sachin’s Brainfade

Sachin Tanwar has played nearly 150 PKL matches in his career, and he would never have imagined this happening to him in such a crucial moment.

Puneri Paltan were leading by a single point with just 28 seconds left on the clock when Sachin went into the raid. All he had to do was cross the baulk line and return with 2 seconds remaining on his allotted 30 seconds.

However, he hesitated while attempting to cross the baulk line and ran out of time, resulting in a raid timeout. This costly mistake pushed the match into a tiebreaker, where once again the scores were level, and Puneri Paltan ultimately lost in the golden raid, all because of that one mistake from Sachin.

1. Golden Raid

Today, for the first time in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League, we witnessed a Golden Raid. While tiebreakers have occurred before, none had ever gone this far, until now.

With nothing separating Dabang Delhi and Puneri Paltan after 40 minutes of play and five raids each in the tiebreaker, history was made.

Ashu Malik won the toss for the Golden Raid, chose to raid himself, and delivered under pressure, snatching a crucial bonus and a touch point to secure a memorable victory for Dabang Delhi.
