PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 44, Haryana Steelers vs Tamil Thalaivas

Haryana Steelers will look to continue their winning streak in PKL 12 against Tamil Thalaivas.

Day 22 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) will witness another blockbuster encounter. It will be between Arjun Deshwal’s Tamil Thalaivas and Jaideep Dahiya’s Haryana Steelers. Haryana Steelers are in third position in the points table, while Tamil Thalaivas are struggling at the eighth spot.

Both teams had contrasting results in their previous encounter. Haryana Steelers triumphed over an in-form Puneri Paltan, thanks to their all-rounder performance. At the same time, Tamil Thalaivas lost to their arch-rivals, Telugu Titans, in the Southern Derby.

Haryana Steelers have been looking strong on paper, and they will be looking to add double delight in the Jaipur Leg. On the other hand, Tamil Thalaivas, who suffered from a disappointing loss due to their poor defensive performance, will be looking for a strong comeback against Haryana Steelers.

Arjun Deshwal vs Jaideep Dahiya

After not performing well in the last match, Arjun Deshwal will be looking for a strong comeback against the Haryana Steelers. Even though he has scored 7 points, it’s a below-par performance considering his standards.

Arjun is the main raider of Tamil Thalaivas, and Haryana will be looking to stop him. The man who can counter Arjun is none other than their captain, Jaideep Dahiya

Jaideep Dahiya, who started the season on a slow note, showed a strong defensive performance against Puneri Paltan, scoring 4 precious tackle points for the team. He will be looking to replicate the same against Tamil Thalaivas. Moreover, he can be dangerous with his captaincy as well, and is the perfect man to tackle Arjun Deshwal.

Shivam Patare vs Ronak

Shivam has been the most consistent raider for the Haryana Steelers so far. In the last match, he scored 8 raid points, moving his tally to 62 points in 7 games.

He will be once again crucial for the Haryana Steelers, as the man in form will pose a significant challenge for the Tamil Thalaivas, whose defence was below par in the last match. On the other hand, Ronak, who had an impressive season so far, failed to impress in the previous contest.

He was looking off colour in the previous game and was just able to do a single successful tackle. Overall, the defence also played poorly. He will be looking to forget the last match and will look to bounce back against Haryana.

Vinay vs Nitesh Kumar

Haryana’s other raiding star, Vinay, has been impressive so far. In the last match, he scored 13 points and paved the way for his team’s victory. He is the man in form and will be difficult for Tamil Thalaivas to stop.

Vinay is an underrated player who always impresses with his brilliant raiding skills. He would like to repeat the same performance in the next match as well.

To stop him, Tamil Thalaivas will have to rely on their most experienced defender, Nitesh Kumar. Nitesh has been the most successful defender for the Thalaivas, scoring 17 points in 6 matches.

However, in the last match, he could only manage to get a single point and will be looking to provide a strong defensive comeback and lead the defence.
