Mohammadreza Shadloui joins the Gujarat Giants camp in a new look.
The PKL 12 is scheduled to commence on Friday, August 26, with Telugu Titans hosting Tamil Thalaivas in the season opener at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag.
Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui has joined the Gujarat Giants camp in a new look ahead of the upcoming edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. He was roped in by the Giants during the PKL 12 auction for a whopping price of INR 2.23 Crore.
Telugu Titans began the bidding for Shadloui before Gujarat Giants joined the party with a straight-up INR 1 Cr bid. Patna Pirates and Bengaluru Bulls also showed interest in the Iranian player, but the Giants had the last laugh, having got their man.

Mohammadreza Shadloui’s PKL career-
Mohammadreza Shadloui began his PKL career with Patna Pirates in season 8. He played two seasons with the Patna-based franchise before joining Puneri Paltan in PKL Season 10, where he scored 126 points in 24 matches.
In the previous edition, Shadloui bagged 139 points from 24 outings with the Haryana Steelers. He finished the season as the Most Valuable Player, courtesy of bagging the Most Tackle Points (82) and Most Successful Tackles (78).

The Iranian all-rounder has won two consecutive PKL titles – first with Puneri Paltan in Season 10 and second with Haryana Steelers in PKL 11.
Overall, he has earned 448 points (94 raid points and 354 tackle points) in 92 matches across four editions in the Pro Kabaddi League. The experienced overseas player has 19 Super Tackles, 32 High 5s, and 4 Super Raids to his name in the competition.
Gujarat Giants to face U Mumba in Match 4 of PKL 12
Gujarat Giants will commence their PKL 12 campaign on Saturday, August 30, when they face former PKL champions U Mumba in the fourth match of the season. The encounter will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag.
The Gujarat-based franchise had a poor outing in the previous season, winning five out of 22 matches. They lost 14 games and tied three, thus finishing the season with 38 points and a horrific score difference of -152.

Mashal Sports on Wednesday announced that PKL 12 is set to begin on Friday, August 29.
