PKL 12: Players Haryana Steelers should retain for upcoming Pro Kabaddi season

Haryana Steelers are the defending champions of PKL.
Haryana Steelers performed brilliantly in the 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League and dominated all the teams from the beginning till lifting the trophy.
After missing out on the final of PKL 10 by a narrow margin, winning the trophy in the next season shows the team’s excellent performance. The Steelers’ coaching staff, led by Manpreet Singh, played a huge role in their success.
Manpreet highlighted the same after their win last season. They had the same team in the PKL 10 without an impact player like Mohammadreza Shadloui. Manpreet & Co. decided to go big on him during the auction to add that X-factor. The Iranian sensation played a key role in breaking the final Jinx of Manpreet, who has lost three PKL finals.

Shadloui should be retained for his all-round performance

The men in blue will have a bigger task in defending the title in PKL season 12, and it will begin with the players they retain ahead of the Auction. The biggest question is whether fans will see Mohammadreza Shadloui in a Steelers jersey again.
With the all-rounder making a huge difference to their line-up, Manpreet would want to keep his left corner for their title defense. The Iranian also played his role as a raider and scored points at crucial moments. He was their third-best raider.
Steelers can once again rely on old raiders
Vinay Tevathia and Shivam Patare performed brilliantly last season. Vinay has been one of the most consistent and high-scoring players. Shivam Patare also played an important role in the team’s victory by scoring points at crucial moments. Apart from these, Manpreet might also retain a few youngsters.
Vishal Tate and Naveen Rawal were impressive last season, chipping in whenever their primary raiders had an off day. That’s why the team can retain both of them.
Rahul and Jaideep are the best choices to lead Haryana in PKL 12 as well
Rahul Sethpal and Jaideep Dahiya have become synonymous with Haryana Steelers and are expected to lead the team in the upcoming season of PKL. Jaideep has been an excellent leader, and he would like to retain his strong defensive line-up.
With this strong core, Haryana would again be a title favorite before the auctions. Having been at the top of the competition for years, Manpreet knows it better than others have started preparations ahead of the season.
In February, they started open trials for youth, and they would definitely like to include players who perform well in these trials.
