PKL 12: Ajay Thakur gives major update on Aslam Inamdar's injury & return timeline

Puneri Paltan registered their eighth win in PKL 12 by defeating Bengaluru Bulls.
Table-toppers Puneri Paltan defeated Bengaluru Bulls for the second time in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). It was an evenly poised tie, which forced the game to the all-important tie-breaker, where Puneri Paltan emerged victorious, thanks to a decisive ankle hold by Gaurav Khatri on Satyappa Matti.
The Paltan dropped a fantastic all-round performance in the absence of their skipper, Aslam Inamdar, and reclaimed their position at the top of the standings.
After the match, representatives from both teams addressed the media.
Bengaluru Bulls
Thoughts on the game
Bengaluru Bulls head coach BC Ramesh opened up about his thoughts on the game and said, “The team played well, but we have been unlucky in the tie-breakers. We had high expectations for two or three of our players, but they did not perform well. Alireza’s many raids were unsuccessful, and that is a bit of a drawback for us.”

Thoughts on the next game
BC Ramesh shared his views ahead of the next game against the Tamil Thalaivas and said, “Tamil Thalaivas are also a good team, and they have Arjun and Hitesh. Their defense is also good. We have only seven matches left, and we need to win at least four to move forward.”
“We have trust in the players, and now we need to motivate the team and take them along. We will perform well in the next match and try to make the team win,” he added.

Thoughts on the game
Puneri Paltan head coach Ajay Thakur also shared his feelings after the win and said, “It was a good match and it was a tough match, but they played very well, both teams played very well. BC Ramesh sir is my senior, and he is a good coach.”
“He also came fully prepared; we won this match by luck. Today luck was not with them, and huge credit to the Bengaluru Bulls because they played very well,” he added.
Thoughts on the match against Jaipur Pink Panthers
Thakur spoke about the Jaipur Pink Panthers ahead of his side’s next game and said, “Their team is good. I have said before that the team whose defense plays well will win; our defense played well today, and we won.”
“I think Nitin Dhankhar has a little injury, so maybe his form will not be what it used to be, and that can be an advantage for us because he scores a lot of points whenever the team needs him,” he added.
On Aslam Inamdar’s injury
On being asked about how long it will take for Aslam to return, Ajay Thakur said, “Aslam Inamdar will come in the next match. He was ready to play this match too, but I did not want to make his injury worse. We have good raiders on the bench in Sachin and Pankay. So, today we decided to rest him. He will make his comeback in the next match 100%.
