PKL 12: Three teams who can buy Devank Dalal in auction

Devank Dalal was shockingly released by Patna Pirates ahead of the PKL 12 auction.
Devank Dalal emerged as the biggest name in Pro Kabaddi League Season 11, finishing as the highest-scoring raider with a staggering 301 raid points in just 25 matches.
His consistency earned him the Best Raider award for the season. Starting his PKL journey with Jaipur Pink Panthers in Season 9, it was Patna Pirates who saw his untapped potential and picked him up in the Season 11 auction—and the rest, as they say, is history.
Though Patna Pirates fell short in the final, Devank’s heroic performances reminded many fans of the legendary Pardeep Narwal’s era with the Pirates. With 18 Super 10s and 8 Super Raids, Dalal proved to be one of the most explosive and game-changing players in recent PKL history.

As the PKL 12 auction approaches, let’s look at three teams that can go all out to buy Devank Dalal:
3. Bengaluru Bulls
The Bengaluru Bulls have released almost their entire squad heading into PKL 12. Unlike other teams that might use their FBM (Final Bid Match) cards to retain former raiders, Bengaluru Bulls currently show no signs of retaining any raider from Season 11.
With the need for a star face to anchor their team, Devank Dalal becomes an ideal choice. The Bulls will be aiming to revive their glory days, much like when Pawan Sehrawat carried their team. Devank fits that mold perfectly.
2. Jaipur Pink Panthers
Devank Dalal started his PKL career with Jaipur Pink Panthers, but his rookie season wasn’t very impactful, and an injury in Season 10 further halted his progress. The Panthers eventually released him, paving the way for Patna to pick him up.
Now, Jaipur Pink Panthers might want to bring him back. The team has released star raider Arjun Deshwal, creating a void in the raiding department. With Narender Redu, the same coach who guided Devank at Patna, now the head coach of Jaipur, the reunion of this coach-player duo could reignite Jaipur’s attack in Season 12.

1. Patna Pirates
Devank Dalal was the heart of Patna’s Season 11 campaign, carrying the team all the way to the finals. With 301 raid points, 18 Super 10s, and an unforgettable season, it’s clear that Devank was their most valuable asset.
Though Patna released him ahead of the auction, they still hold the option to use their FBM card to bring him back. With his proven chemistry and dominance in the green jersey, there’s a strong chance that the Pirates won’t let another team take him away.
Devank Dalal is undoubtedly one of the biggest names heading into the PKL 12 auction. With his performance, maturity, and ability to turn matches around single-handedly, all eyes will be on which team wins the bidding war.
