PKL 12: Top five best players of UP Yoddhas in Pro Kabaddi 2025

UP Yoddhas have retained 14 players from the season 11 squad for PKL 12.
UP Yoddhas had a respectable Pro Kabaddi League season 11, ending their campaign in the semifinals. They were defeated by Haryana Steelers, who later won the title. The Yoddhas will be stepping out with the same head coach, Jasveer Singh, who has been with the franchise since 2018.
His work throughout his tenure has been tremendous, and he has led the team to the playoffs in every season except season 10. After reaching close to the triumph ample of times, Jasveer Singh would be aiming for the title this season. Singh has shown his confidence in the players he had in the previous season and has retained 14 of them.
The Yoddhas bought key players like Guman Singh and Pranay Rane in the auction. Moreover, they were able to use FBM on Mahender Singh and Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi to get them back in their squad.
The Yoddhas are all set to dominate another season with a stellar line-up. It will be interesting to see which player performs best. On that note, let’s look at the top five best players of UP Yoddhas in PKL 12.
5. Gagan Gowda
Gagan Gowda debuted for the UP Yoddhas in season 10. He has been a part of the franchise since then and has done a decent job as a supporting raider. In his PKL career of 31 matches, Gowda has scored 237 raid points, including 10 Super 10s.

4. Bhavani Rajput
Bhavani Rajput will be another key asset of the Yoddhas in the upcoming season. Rajput was first picked by the Tamil Thalaivas in season 5. However, he didn’t feature in the next 2 seasons and was bought by Thalaivas once again in season 8. Since then, he has been a regular part of PKL.
He performed brilliantly in season 11. This will be his second season with the Yoddhas, and Jasveer Singh will be expecting a lot from him. Rajput has scored 302 tackle points in 81 matches, including 9 Super 10s, from which 8 came in the previous season.
3. Hitesh
Hitesh was the best defender of the UP Yoddhas in PKL 11. He worked tremendously in the right corner and got 74 tackle points in season 11. The corners were UP Yoddhas’ impeccable strengths, and Hitesh was one of them.
Hitesh made his debut in season 10 and has been with the Yoddhas since then. In his 40-match-long PKL career, Hitesh has accumulated 105 tackle points, including 10 High 5s.

2. Guman Singh
Guman Singh is the new addition to the UP Yoddhas squad. Singh had an underwhelming PKL 11 and scored 159 raid points in 22 matches; hence, he was released by the Gujarat Giants before the PKL 12 auction.
However, Singh is a player on the rise, and if he finds the rhythm well in the next season, he can turn out to be lethal for the opposition. In his PKL career, Singh has scored 559 raid points in 81 matches, including 26 Super 10s.
1. Sumit Sangwan
Sumit is the most successful defender of the UP Yoddhas. He has been consistent since his debut in the Pro Kabaddi and will be the most crucial player of the team. The left corner will once again be responsible for stopping the top raiders and maintaining his team’s dominance.
Sangwan has played all 5 seasons for UP Yoddhas and scored 326 tackle points, including 24 High 5s, with an average of more than 65 points per season.
