Thoughts on the game
UP Yoddhas assistant coach Upendra Malik shared his views on the game and said, “We faced an all-out very quickly and that should not have happened, but even after that, we could have made a comeback. Both teams made mistakes, but Gujarat’s number 22, Ankit Dahiya, was a big factor.”
“Ankit surprised us with his tackles, and we should have definitely avoided him. But, when Sumit got self-out, that is where the match went completely away from us,” he added.

Change in strategy
Mohammadreza Shadloui reveals what changed in his team for today’s match and said, “We changed our strategy, and we gave raiding to Rakesh, and I want to put my focus on defense and handle defense. If we play like this in the next match, we have more chances. I want to thank the fans for supporting me, and we should now focus on the next matches.”
Shadloui on the next match against U Mumba
Shadloui spoke about his thoughts ahead of the next game against U Mumba and said, “In the last match I had made some mistakes, but this match will be different and I am coming for revenge. It was my mistake, and I should’ve come back. I don’t know that time I was under pressure, I was playing the tie breaker for the first time, but this time is different, and of course, we have a plan.”
Plans ahead
Gujarat Giants head coach Jaiveer Singh shared the road map for his side for the remainder of the season and said, “Today’s victory has given a lot of motivation, and our target is to win all our remaining matches. We have corrected the mistakes we made in the past, and we will not make such foolish mistakes in the future.”
“We will plan according to the opposition team, and now everyone knows every team’s strengths and weaknesses. So every team will come with their planning accordingly, and we will also prepare our team in the same manner,” he added.
