PKL 12: Why did Ajit Chouhan miss the clash against Telugu Titans?

This is Ajit Chouhan’s second season with U Mumba.

U Mumba took on hosts Telugu Titans in Match 25 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) on Wednesday, September 10, at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag.

U Mumba were placed second in the PKL 12 standings with six points and a score difference of 23 ahead of the clash against the Titans. They have three wins and a loss in four encounters thus far in the league.

Meanwhile, the Telugu Titans are fourth in the points table with four points from as many games, including two wins and two losses. They have a score difference of seven.

Why is Ajit Chouhan not playing tonight?

Star raider Ajit Chouhan missed U Mumba’s fifth encounter of PKL 12 against the Telugu Titans due to an injury he sustained in the previous match against the Bengaluru Bulls.

Ajit sustained an injury during the second half of the match when defender Yogesh grappled his legs in an attempt to tackle the player. The young Indian raider received treatment on his legs and was seen limping off the match.

In the previous match, he was the star performer for U Mumba with 13 points, including 12 touch points and one bonus point. He was subbed off in the 27th minute due to an injury.

Ajit Chouhan stats in PKL

Ajit Chouhan has earned 40 points in four matches so far in the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. He has bagged 39 raid points and one tackle point from 56 raids and three tackles, respectively, in the league.

With one Super Raid and 2 Super 10s, Ajit has been the best raider for the PKL Season 2 champions this season. The management and fans will hope for his speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action soon.

Ajit made his PKL debut in 2024 with U Mumba. He earned 186 points in 301 raids across 23 matches last season. He averaged 8.04 raids per match and finished the season with nine Super 10s and as many Super Raids.
