The 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 12) is all set to commence on Friday, August 29. Telugu Titans will face Tamil Thalaivas in the season opener in Vizag. The first day will feature a thrilling double-header, with Bengaluru Bulls taking on Puneri Paltan in the second encounter of the day.
The league stage of Pro Kabaddi 2025 will continue until October 23, followed by the new-format playoffs, which will feature eight teams, instead of the usual top 6. But this season, we will not see the fiery raids of ‘Dubki King’ Pardeep Narwal. Know why he is not playing in PKL 12-
Pardeep will not be a part of PKL 2025 after going unsold in the auction. He went through the auction with a base price of Rs 20 lakh, but did not find any buyer. The star Indian raider announced his retirement on June 2 after no teams showed interest in the ‘Dubki King’ during the PKL auction on May 31 & June 1.

Pardeep Narwal’s PKL career in numbers

Pardeep Narwal’s PKL career came a full circle as he played his first-ever match and last match for the Bengaluru Bulls. He began his Pro Kabaddi League career with the Bulls in 2015, playing six games before being signed by the Patna Pirates.
Pardeep then represented Patna Pirates for five seasons from 2016 to 2019. He also won the PKL title with the Pirates for three consecutive seasons in PKL Seasons 3, 4, and 5. The Indian raider earned 1,060 points in 101 matches across five seasons with the Patana-based franchise.
When the Pro Kabaddi League returned after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pardeep found a new home in UP Yoddhas between PKL seasons 8 to 10. He amassed 530 points from three seasons across 63 encounters, playing for the Yoddhas.
Pardeep’s PKL career came a full circle when the Bengaluru Bulls re-signed the player for the 11th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. The Bulls roped in the star Indian raider for INR 70 lakhs to reunite him with his former team.
Pardeep earned 111 raid points, including 5 Super Raids and 3 Super 10s, in 20 matches in the previous edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Overall, the Indian player has earned 1,810 points in 190 matches in 10 PKL seasons. He has scored 1801 raid points in 3135 raids, including 82 Super Raids and 88 Super 10s. Narwal has a successful raid percentage of 57.44% and a not-out percentage of 74.99.
