Fans will see the Indian kabaddi team participate in both events as they fight for the gold medal. Various nations have already begun their training camps in preparation. However, every Kabaddi fan is also wondering when the next season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) will begin.
The last season ended way back in October 2025, and since then there has been no news regarding the commencement of the next season.
There were a few rumours that the 13th edition of the PKL would start around May or June, but with the Asian Games scheduled later in the year and international teams beginning their preparations, the PKL season was delayed.

According to our sources, the PKL 13 auction is likely to be held in mid-October, after the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship.
The auction is expected to take place between October 18th to 25th. Teams will first release or retain their existing players from last season and then bid for new players in the auction.
After that, they will call up their players for the pre-season practice camp. Typically, team practice camps last for more than a month, so we could see PKL 13 begin in December. According to reports, December is being viewed as the likely window for the start of PKL 2026.
Although there has been no official confirmation, it is almost certain that Pro Kabaddi League 13 may begin in late December and last for around two months. The possible dates are December 25, 26 and 27.
As the countdown to the next PKL season begins, fans have three major Kabaddi tournaments to look forward to back-to-back, which is a rare occurrence nowadays.
PKL franchises will also keep a close watch on their players’ fitness, as there will be continuous Kabaddi action over the next few months.
